Colette provides different types of lease contracts
Reminder : The lease contract has for main objective to protect each stakeholder and establish well-defined rules during the house share. The use of a lease contract is not mandatory but highly recommended.
PART 1 : Why is there a difference between the amount written on my contract and the total amount paid ?
The amount indicated on your lease contract is the price exclusive of commission. It’s the amount that your host receives each month.
Indeed, at Colette there are two types of commission :
👉🏽 We take 15% of the price of the room (host commission). This includes for the host :
- The publication of the room advertisement on our website and the management of the room rental
- The selection of good tenants profile
- Customized support and advice to find the perfect future tenant
- Support on administrative and tax-related questions
- Lease agreement & rent receipts available on each Colette account
- Payment services : secured payments via STRIPE (a worldwide secured platform) + guarantee of the rent paid each month
- A house insurance (AXA) that covers the guests in case of material damages for the entire duration of his rental at Colette
- Customer Care Services during your experience at Colette
- If needed, Colette acts as an intermediary between the host & guest
👉🏽 In addition to the price of the room, we ask for 38€ (guest commission). This includes for the guest :
- Access to our platform and therefore to a wide offer of free rooms in Paris, inner suburb, Lyon and Bordeaux
